Alasdair Stretch
Operatic Baritone
Alasdair is an operatic baritone working with Opera Scholars Australia, and Vocalis Opera. Through these organisations, Alasdair has had the privilege to work with Yvonne Kenny AM, Deborah Cheetham AO, Sharolyn Kimmorley AM, Guy Noble, and Warwick Stengårds.
An experienced concert and event performer, Alasdair regularly performs functions and concerts with Vocalis, alongside Soprano Monika Harris, and reimagines operatic roles and arias in a modern, accessible context to a wide audience.
ConSort Singer
Alasdair is an accomplished consort singer, and sings regularly with the Luminescence Chamber Singers. He currently holds the position of Associate Director of Music and regularly performs with the Choir of St John's Camberwell, and has a long history in choral and consort singing including performances and recordings with The Song Company, the Choir of Trinity College, Melbourne, Polyphonic Voices, and the Australian Chamber Choir.
Choral Conductor
Growing up a chorister in the Choir of St Andrew's, Brighton, Alasdair has held the position of Associate Director and Acting Director of Music there, and in 2017 held the position of Acting Head of Music (Choral) at Brighton Grammar School. In 2018, he joined the Choir of St John's Camberwell as Associate Director of Music and currently leads a professional choir in weekly liturgical performances, as well as concerts throughout the year.
